Ian Higgins
Ian Higgins has spent most of the past 30 years as a CEO in the not-for-profit sector focusing on organisational development.
His NGO experience ranges from being head of the Australian Council of National Trusts to CEO of Greenpeace Australia-Pacific and of World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Australia. He also has international experience with major NGOs in Switzerland and New Zealand.
A former Federal Press Gallery journalist, Federal Ministerial staffer and one-time General Manager, Corporate Relations with the ABC, he holds a BA from Canberra University and an MBA from Webster University, Geneva. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds diplomas in French and, most recently, viticulture. He is a former Chair of the Total Environment Centre and of the Advisory Board of OgilvyEarth, Ogilvy PR Worldwide’s Sustainability practice.
